Our Recommended Workflow for Library Upkeep:
You should do this on a schedule that works best for you. For some people, that is every day or every week, for others it is every month, every six months, or even every year! Figure out a schedule that you will be able to stick with.
-
This is the fun part! Most of us are taking new photos every day.
-
Get rid of any photos you don’t want or need. You can do this right after taking new photos, or at the end of every day/week/month. Whatever schedule works best for you.
You can also do this step in Mylio after you’ve added your new photos if you prefer.
-
Open Mylio on your computer and connect all of your vaults.
If the new photos are coming from your phone, then open the Mylio app on your phone to import the new images. The app has to stay open on your phone to sync.
If the new photos are coming from another location, click the “+” button and follow the uploading prompts.
Make sure all of your new photos are backed up to all of your vaults to ensure no data loss occurs.
-
Organize your new images into your already established foundational organization. For most people this includes organizing into folders by year/month/event.
Ensure that any new organization you do is backed up to your vaults.
-
If you want to take the extra organizing step, you can tag people, rate, and/or label your new images.
