Client A: Ian - Photo Organization & The Personal Image Archive
Ian was referred to us by a home organizer because of a need for photo organization and digitization. When we met with them, we found over 20 boxes of prints, albums, kid’s artwork, framed photos, slides, negatives, audio reels, cassette and VHS tapes, and more scattered throughout the house and garage. Working together, we all came up with an organizational system that suited Ian. We created an online digital archive of both the client’s digital and analog media. Using our professional scanner we scanned more than 10,000 prints and miscellaneous analog media. In addition, we digitized hundreds of slides, negatives, reels, and tapes.
Ian now has 24-hour access to a secure online digital archive where they can view all of their images. With our custom digital file naming conventions and organizational system of the physical prints and other media, Ian is able to easily locate any of the actual photographs, art, or images within minutes, by looking at the file name of the photo on their digital archive.
Client B: Melissa - The organized Digital Archive & Annual Family Albums
Melissa was a longtime photography client of Jennifer Loomis. After years of working with Jennifer to create family photos, she noticed it was getting more and more difficult to find and enjoy their images. We worked with Melissa to come up with a plan that would help them both access their digital images, as well as allow them and their family to easily enjoy them in their everyday life.
Melissa sent us nearly 150,000 digital images spanning over the course of 10 years. We created an organizational system sorting by year. We then chose the best images from each year, tagging those with each child’s name. This allows Client B to search the digital archive by year and child’s name, and easily find the photographs of each child by year.
After this photo organization and creation of the digital archive, we collaborated with Melissa to create annual albums from their favorite images. Melissa says her children come home from school nearly every day and look through at least one of the albums.
Client C: Jeremy - The Personalized Photo Wall
Jeremy came to us during the middle of an interior design project for their house. Their two children had just gone away to college and they were feeling the weight of the empty nest. We wanted a way to bring warmth and family memories back into a commonly used room of their house.
Jeremy sent us 300 of their favorite images to sort through and narrow down for the wall. Using their personal family photographs, we curated a custom photo wall containing 22 images from the past 18 years. We used the images to create a visual story of their family and the different phases of life they had gone through together. This ended up being a very emotional project for our client and we were honored to be able to help them create such a unique piece for their home.
Client d: Charlotte - The Custom Searchable Digital Photo Archive
Charlotte came to us because they were struggling to find and sort through their images. They sent us a hard drive with close to 100,000 images dating all the way back to 2001. They had already done a good job of organizing their images by year and event, but still wasn’t able to find specific photos of the people in their life. We imported their images into a secure, online digital archive and started by sorting through each folder, choosing the best images from each year and event. We then went through and tagged all of the best images by person. This has allowed Charlotte to search their digital archive by name, event, and date, easily finding any images of their child, parents, or family members that they could want.
