Q. What if it's too difficult for me to go through the images, because I've lost someone, or I just don’t have the time?
A. You’re not alone. Many of our clients come to us during tender or transitional times—after the loss of a loved one, a major life change, or simply years of not knowing where to begin. We understand how emotional and overwhelming it can feel to face thousands of images.
That’s where we come in. As professional photographers and photo organizers, we approach your collection with care, sensitivity, and zero judgment. You don’t have to sort everything before we begin. We can take the lead, working gently and efficiently to organize your images while honoring the emotional weight they carry.
If your time is limited, we can do the heavy lifting and simply ask for small approvals when needed. If the memories feel too difficult, we can work at a pace that feels right, or even without you present, always with the goal of creating something meaningful and healing from your images.
Digital Organizing
Q. What devices or platforms can you help with?
A. We work with iPhones, Android devices, computers (Mac and PC), cloud services like iCloud, Google Photos, Dropbox, OneDrive, Amazon Photos, and external hard drives. If your phone or computer is 10+ years old, there may be limitations to the software available for your device’s system. We can discuss these limitations and find the right solution for you.
Q. How do you organize digital photos?
A. Our digital photo organizing process is guided by your goals—whether that’s creating a family archive, preparing for a photo book, or simply gaining peace of mind. We begin by consolidating all your images from various devices and platforms, then run advanced de-duplication to determine the actual number of unique photos. This step helps us provide accurate estimates and tailor the best strategy for your needs.
From there, we offer customized organization options such as sorting by year, month, and/or event, identifying your best images (a skill we’ve honed as professional photographers), and tagging the people who matter most to you. We can even train facial recognition tools to help automate future tagging. Finally, we set you up with a streamlined, easy-to-maintain photo library—one that grows with you as you continue to capture new memories.
Q. Do you offer ongoing support?
A. Yes! We believe photo organizing is not a one-time task, but an evolving process as your collection grows. We offer maintenance plans and annual or quarterly check-ins to keep your system running smoothly. Whether you want help adding new images, creating seasonal albums, or simply want a trusted expert to manage your digital archive over time, we’re here for you. Many of our clients think of us as their family’s trusted image manager. The same way you periodically go to a hairstylist for a trim or a mechanic for a car tune-up, we are here to help keep your photo library active, updated, and backed up.
Q. Will you delete any of my photos?
A. No. We will create a separate folder outside of your photo library for duplicates. This way, the duplicates do not clutter your library, but are still available for you to go through if you choose. You have final approval before anything is deleted.
Q. Can you work remotely?
A. Yes! We serve clients across the country using secure remote access tools, in addition to offering in-person services in select areas. Contact us to learn more.

Q. I have boxes of prints, slides, and albums. Can you help?
A. Absolutely. We specialize in helping families organize and digitize physical collections, including prints, slides, negatives, and vintage albums. You can see a list of the media we are able to digitize here. If you don’t see your media type, let us know, odds are, we can probably digitize it!
Q. What happens to my originals after scanning?
A. At Signature Photo Organizing, we treat your originals with the utmost care and respect. After the scanning process is complete, all originals are returned to you exactly as they were received.
For clients who wish to preserve their originals long-term, we offer a range of archival solutions. This includes guidance and materials designed to ensure your photos, slides, negatives, and other media are stored safely for future generations. From acid-free boxes to proper humidity control tips, we can help you safeguard your memories.
For those who prefer not to keep their originals, while we respect your decision, we have a strict policy of never disposing of your materials ourselves. Instead, we’ll return everything to you so you can make that choice. Your memories are yours to keep, and we’re here to support you in preserving them however you choose.
Q. Do you scan everything in-house?
A. Yes. Our team handles scanning personally using professional-grade equipment. We never ship your materials.
Q. Can you digitize fragile or odd-sized items?
A. Yes. We have extensive experience with delicate and unique items and treat every piece with museum-level protocols.

We know what makes a great print, and we carefully inspect each finished album to ensure it meets our high standards. If something isn’t right, we send it back. Q. Do you offer services for businesses?
A. Yes, we offer organizational services and consulting for businesses. What does this mean? We come in, assess your visual assets, and develop a detailed organizational plan to fit your business's needs. Each plan is unique and tailored to you and your business.

Q. How long does the process take?
A. Every project is different. Small projects may take a few weeks, while larger archives can take several months or stretch into years, depending on the scope. We provide a customized timeline after your consultation.
Q. Are my images and data safe?
A. Yes, we take privacy and security very seriously. We use secure tools for file transfers and backups, everyone in our office has signed a confidentiality agreement, and we never share or access your images without permission. All analog materials are handled with museum gloves and are stored in a dark, temperature-monitored space to keep the integrity of your media intact. Your privacy and trust are our top priorities.
Q. What does it cost?
A. We offer both hourly and project-based pricing, depending on your needs. After your consultation, we’ll provide a detailed estimate based on the scope and goals of your project. For larger projects, we often break the work into manageable phases—allowing you to move forward at a pace and budget that works for you.
