One of the easiest ways to stay on top of your digital photos—especially when they’re piling up on your phone—is to start while the memories are still fresh.

There are lots of ways to organize your photos, but today we’re focusing on travel and vacation pictures.

If you’re traveling, use a little downtime—on the flight home or during a layover—to do a quick first pass through your photos. No need to overthink it. Just mark (favorite/heart) any images you really like or might want to share, post, or print.

This creates a simple “best of” group right away.

Later, when you have more time, go back through those favorites and narrow them down even further to your true top picks. Starting with a smaller, pre-selected set makes it much easier to let go of duplicates, blurry shots, or near-misses.
